In Case of Emergency Cards (ICE Cards)
This year we are asking all riders to fill out emergency information when they pick up entry packs. The card asks you for contact information (at home and on the event grounds). We want to be able to contact someone who will make sure your horse is watered and fed. If you travel to an event by yourself and have no on-site contact person, ask someone on your shed row to be that person. Eventers are the best and will gladly help you out.

Return To Competition Rule
As of April 1, 2009, “Return to Competition” requires any competitor who sustains an apparent concussion or unconsciousness to provide a signed release letter from a medical professional that states that they are fit to return to normal activities before they will be allowed to compete at USEF competitions. View more info about this rule.
Dressage
Please do not hack on or along Murray Road; the path marked to dressage is safer. Please allow approximately 12 minutes to hack from stabling to dressage. Please use the warm-up area designated for your ring
Use bridle numbers for Dressage, Show Jumping, and any other time the horse is ridden or exercised.
Cross Country
Fence Numbers:
- CIC** & Intermediate: White on Red
- Preliminary: White on Green
- Training: White on Black
- Novice: Black on White
Pinnies are yours to keep. Use for Cross Country only.
Body Protector Vests are mandatory for cross-country. YOUR OWN Medical Arm Band is mandatory for XC and Show Jumping including warm-up area. Arm Bands are available from the Secretary.
Optimum Time will be posted at the start box, on the scoreboard, and with the Secretary on Friday.
Completion Times will not be given to anyone by the timers; please do not ask. The timer's job requires complete concentration at all times.
Elimination - A fall of rider, or a fall of horse, or a fourth penalized disobedience on the entire cross-country course results in elimination. Eliminated riders may NOT continue on the cross country course per USEA/USEF rules. If you are eliminated, please leave the course immediately at a walk, either mounted or unmounted.
No motorized vehicles are allowed on the cross-country course at any time. Unregistered vehicles are illegal on New York roads.
Stadium Jumping
Riders eliminated on cross-country will not be allowed to show jump.
Stadium Jumping Round Order will be in reverse of placing after cross country. Order of go will be posted with the Secretary and at stabling.
Schooling
No schooling on the Cross Country course prior to, during, or following the competition.
Protective Headgear, Properly Secured
must be worn on the grounds at all times when you are mounted. This includes all schooling, warm-up, stabling, roadways, trails and trailer areas. We respectfully remind you that helmet retention systems only work as intended if they make contact with your jaw and/or chin.
ABSOLUTELY NO UNLICENSED DRIVERS
may operate motorized vehicles at any time on the competition grounds. This includes but is not limited to golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles.
NO DOGS ARE ALLOWED ON THE COMPETITION GROUNDS.
Dogs in stabling must be leashed. Any dog found on the competition grounds or unleashed in stabling will be confiscated and the owner fined $100 payable to Stuart Horse Trials.
